Identity
Identity is complex, fluid, and often shaped by context, perception, and even the expectations of others. The struggle to define yourself in a way that feels whole yet adaptable is something many people experience. I am an employee, daughter, friend, sibling, auntie, mother, girl, woman, lady, counsellor etc all these are identities and none of them cancel the others out. Society loves😍 boxes, but you don’t have to live in them. When others react oddly, it might be because they are uncomfortable with fluidity or they might be testing power dynamics. When overwhelmed, ground yourself in a core truth in a statement like "I’m a work in progress and that’s okay." I try to remember that i don’t owe anyone a perfect 😊label. The confusion i feel is proof that I am multidimensional.
